God is Moving
We want to get better at updating you on a weekly basis. Our plan is to write a blog post every Tuesday to recap the past week and to update you on future events. This will be posted on our news page and twitter.
Last week, we ministered at a church and two correctional facilities. We led worship and raised support for Shirley’s House of Hope at Zion United Methodist Church in Marshfield, WI. Shirley’s House of Hope is a ministry dedicated to helping women hurting from the effects of domestic violence by showing them the love of Christ. We also visited Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center in Mauston, WI. This treatment center holds some of the worst sex offenders within the state of Wisconsin. In addition to SRS Treatment Center we visited Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake Schools, a juvenile detention center for boys and girls. The schools provide community protection and hold youth fully responsible for their behaviors while offering them skill-building opportunities that contribute to victim and community restoration. We led worship and shared our music at both correctional facilities.
It’s exciting to see God move throughout the prisons and correctional facilities we minister to. God continues to give us opportunities in these places. We realize the importance of sharing the Gospel and leading worship with the inmates as well as to bring hope and encouragement. Please continue to pray that God will move throughout the correctional facilities we visit.
This week we lead worship at a retreat in Zumbro Falls, MN and at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, WI for a worship night. We look forward to our future events and ministry opportunities.
